An absolutely horrific crash from the X-Games last night. Jake Brown pulls an amazing Backside 720(At least that's what they called it, I probably couldn't tell you the difference between that and a 540 McTwist if my life depended on it), but then things went very wrong. Keep in mind that the height of the ramp is approximately 30 feet and Jake was another 15-20 feet above that. You can't really see it from this, but his shoes literally exploded off of his feet.
Listen to Tony Hawk announcing at about the 0:28 mark. And if you still don't think skateboarders are hardcore, 2 minutes later, Jake Brown walked off the ramp almost completely under his own power.
