He survived almost 40 broken bones, an attempt to jump the Snake River Canyon on a rocket-powered motorcycle, and a liver transplant, but Evel Knievel finally died today. I haven't seen a cause of death yet, but he had been in rough shape for the last several years due to his affliction with diabetes and pulmonary fibrosis.
Knievel was born and raised in Butte, Montana, the home of the original Copperhouse. Each year thousands flocked to Butte each year for the annual Evel Knievel Days celebration, which I can personally say is one crazy kick-ass good time of a party.
